Boston Dynamics’ systems have always provided entertainment value, and the company has released viral videos over the years. Hyundai-owned firm has announced a deal with Singapore-based entertainment brand, Neon.
Neon, which owns Animax Designs, has created animatronics for major Hollywood franchises. The deal’s specifics have not been disclosed, but it is set to culminate with a reveal at the end of 2024.
The collaboration benefits Neon/Animax as Boston Dynamics can produce robust and untethered autonomous systems at scale. The deal is part of Boston Dynamics’ commercialization roadmap, which began with Spot quadruped and the truck unloading robot, Stretch.
